Assisting the Secretariat in the creation of an exhaustive database of all relevant statistics for cocoa including available expertise within the CPA in all disciples including Farming, Cooperatives, Marketing, Transportation and Processing etc;

Assisting Member-States in the formulation of projects and any other form of technical assistance they may require;

Assisting on the creation of Research Zones and research priorities to avoid research duplication and to take advantage of comparative and regional ecologies; to create a model of partnership for research to include: research institutes/financial institutions/end users/information vectors;

Assisting the Secretariat in the Organization of International Cocoa Conferences; particularly: the choice of themes, budgets, dates and venue including the selection and classification of the papers for the conferences;

Facilitating the exchange of information between the Alliance and the scientific world.
